I sort of screwed up in an "opening" thread with titles but I wanted to make a specific thread about the best works in the title sequences. Personal favorites (as I mentioned in that thread): -Goldfinger: The classiness of the golden girl with the scenes from the movie on top of her...great stuff -YOLT: Perfect mood setter: the Japanese style, the exploding volcano, just sets up the movie -OHMSS: "We have all the time in the world"...not much more you can say alongside Barry's epic instrumental -LALD: Very freaky but in a good way with the voodoo set-up -TLD: Sort of finally moved away from the silhouettes with a great intro that was classy and real (though somehow LTK wasn't as good with that) -Goldeneye: the only "modern CGI" opening I've liked, perfectly set-up the gap and the "fall of the Cold War"

3. The Man With The Golden Gun So ... boring compared to how spectacular LALD was, THOUGH the gun pointed over the girl in the lily pond and those scenes were nice but... out of whack compared to how fast the song is... those scenes would have like worked for "All the Time in the World."
AFTER THOUGHTS BEST MOMENTS
TWINE: The Sun, and Oil Derricks, The Oil People
TND: The Bullet People, The Shy looking girl whose necklace floats around her turning into space.
GE: The Gun shooting the Flags away
GF: The License plate flipping, The flashing neon lights girl.
DAD: The Fire And Ice figures
AVTAK: Just the seductive Dancers/Posers well picked bunch, Kudos to the MakeUp Department.
OP: The Cyclone with the Earth in the Center.
MR: The FIRST part with the moon and first few jumpers and the falling circus fair... very wonderful... then it goes to hell.
DAF: The music, and the FEEL is there just probably needed another week of tweaking and it would have been easily one of the best.
TMWGG: The woman under the Lily Pond water.
TLD: Figures running across that lightly bubbled water.
TSWLM: The Marching women and the Russian figure, and English figure always watching eachother's back.
OHMSS: Clock and Hourglass...
FYEO: The Water treatments...
......... Oh hell I can't think of all the scenes I liked... I've said enough... HAHAHA
I would LOVE to debate this topic with someone, then possibly send it to my Professor to see if he thinks I'm making good valid points using, History, Technical knowledge and limitations of time, Money, and Technology of digital effects at the time. So please... someone get mad at a point I made so I can defend my point!
HAHA Don't tell me ALL my points are completely valid and acceptable. X3

Most, if not all are in silhouette form but is there any source to identify some of these dancers?

Why is the helicopter chase scene from "From Russia with Love" included in Goldfinger's title sequence?

"Why is the helicopter chase scene from "From Russia with Love" included in Goldfinger's title sequence?" The catch phrase of Goldfinger advertisings was "James Bond back in action", so they picked up the most memorable action piece of the previous episode to show how he kicked ass and how he will kick ass again.
