Bond villains in their efforts to control (or destroy) the world.
Blofeld is smuggling diamonds out of South Africa to use in this Laser satellite, capable of destroying targets on the earth with pin-point accuracy. Blofeld claims to be able to destroy Washington, DC with the satellite, but, you guessed it, Bond shows up. Right now in this present day NASA is actually working on one of these to be used against missles fired in outerspace (ICBMS, Nuclear Rockets).

This is the culmination of
Drax's plan to eradicate human life on earth. The space station is capable of launching globes filled with a toxic gas, capable of killing humanity. The station also acts as the docking port for Drax's
Moonraker fleet and as the home of his "super-race" of human until the gas has dissipated and they can return to earth and recolonize. The space station is equipped with a laser for defense.
The Solex Agitator Laser, while not truly a doomsday device, was developed by
Scaramanga to harness the solar energy from the sun and focus it into a laser beam.
Scaramanga planned to sell this technology to the highest bidder. The weapon is significant because the laser beam is invisible, making the source untracable. Since the laser is based on solar energy, it's power source is unlimited, giving the owner complete financial freedom once the weapon was developed. Not metioned in Fleming's novel.
Virus Omega is a biological agent capabe of causing infertility in the world's plants and animal species (including humans). Developed at
Blofeld's "allergy clinic" in Piz Gloria, Switzerland, Virus Omega was supposed to be distributed to the world population by ten, beautiful, brainwashed clinic patients. The clinic at Piz Gloria is destroyed by Bond and Draco's men, hence foiling Blofeld's most recent plan at world domination.
