The James Bond series has been fortunate to have a number of world-class directors at the helm throughout the production of 22 James Bond films to date. Here's where you'll find the background for each of the directors and descriptions of how they contributed to the Bond series and the mythos of James Bond. The first 16 Bond films were lead by only 5 directors, each helping to shape the character of Bond in different ways. With the coming of Goldeneye in 1995, the "musical chairs" has been the prefered model, with another 5 directors working on the next 6 films.
