Who he is:

• Jack Wade is 007's CIA contact in GoldenEye and Tomorrow Never Dies. Wade takes an almost immediate liking to 007, nicknaming him Jimbo (although at first, he is a little cold towards James, and considers him to be a "stiff ass Brit"). In GoldenEye, Jack Wade briefs 007 on Valentin Zukovsky. When 007 finishes Wade's sentence for him, saying that someone stole his girlfriend and shot Zukovsky in the leg (giving him a limp), Wade asks Bond how he knows that. Bond replies ,"I gave him the limp." Wade accompanies Bond to Cuba, and offers (somewhat jokingly) to call in marine backup for Bond if things get too difficult. After Bond accomplishes his mission, Wade congratulates him and reveals to Bond that marines were surrounding the facility, ready to move in at a moment's notice. Wade and his marines (disguised as clumps of hay) watch Bond and Natalya Simonova kiss, before taking them home in a helicopter.

• In Tomorrow Never Dies, Bond shows Wade and Dr. Greenwalt the GPS encoder that he stole from Henry Gupta's lab. Wade then accompanies Bond to an airplane, where he supervises the HALO jump.

Defining dialogue:
Bond: In London, April's a spring month.
Wade: Oh yeah? And what are you, the weatherman? I mean, for crying out loud... another stiff-ass Brit, with your secret codes and your passwords. One of these days you guys are gonna learn just to drop it.

Wade: Jack Wade, CIA.
Bond: James Bond, stiff-ass Brit.

Wade: You know that, officially, Uncle Sam is completely neutral in this turkey shoot.
Bond: And unofficially?
Wade: We have no interest in seeing World War III - unless we start it.
