How he is dispatched: While waiting for bond to reach the Perla de las Dunas restaurant to shoot Bond a hydrogen fuel cell explodes nearby. The fire from the explosion swallows him but his boss Dominic Greene gets away just in time.
Evil scheme: Protect Dominic Greene, and help get the land in Bolivia.
How plans were foiled: Both Greene and Medrano are killed.
