connections
The only connection between Dr.No and From Russia With Love is Sylvia Trench. If you've seen Dr. No you'll know who I'm talking about.

Quarrel
If theyd've done Live and Let Die before Dr.No(as a movie)you would have seen the deep friendship between him and Bond. And it would've been cool to show the training regamin Quarrel put 007 thru to get him ready for the mission on Crab Key...or the swim to Mr.Big's island in LALD.No wonder 007 wanted to avenge his death by killing Dr.No.

Moonraker......comparision
"An obvious response to cash in on the Star Wars craze. I will admit to loving this movie when I saw it in the theater. I think I was about nine years old or so." Understandable if you were 9 , thats when I first saw Dr.No(1964),but NOW -- how do you feel about it? I saw them all from the start and watched them go downhill after Thunderball . They lost the Fleming darkness/noir feeling and became mediocre comedies---too many gadgets, quips and bimbos with really bad names--- "Goodhead" c'mon!

You only live twice
Could someone tell me where I could get a copy of the "You Only Live Twice" poster where Bond is in the jacuzzi with all of the women? I'd prefer the landscape style version of the poster.
thanks

Althought a huge Bond fan...
"How true....DN and FRWL set the bar for all the rest. Bond..SPECTRE ..the style and the plots from these are the template. They d'dnt pale before any of the others. GF pushed the f'lms to the manstream. " Dr.No is the backbone or root to the entire series. Thank God for its success and Ian Fleming's novels

How many Fleming books do you have?
I have 11 altogether
- Dr.No - Casino Royale - Moonraker - Goldfinger - Thunderball - Diamonds Are Forever - On Her Majesty's Secret Service - From Russia With Love - The Man With the Golden Gun - The Spy Who Loved Me
From John Gardner I have....
- Icebreaker - C.O.L.D. - Win, Lose, or Die - No Deals, Mr. Bond
And from Benson I just have
- Doubleshot
I got a lot, but most of the Flemings came from my Dad.

roger moore
actually,i was born in 1990 and i didn't watch a single roger moore movie.but i beleive roger moore brought a new dimension to the bond character.i rate moonraker as the best bond movie because it raked up more than 200 million pound and and the movie is quite unique although alex berg critisiced me heavily for my choice.i have watched a couple of sean connery's movieexcept goldfinger and through my extraordinary visualisation power, i beleive roger moore edged sean connery by being more witty and gritty in some movies for example;THE SPY WHO LOVED MEandA VIEW TO A KILL.YOU MUST ALSO NOTE ONE IMPORTANT POINT.ROGER MOORE WAS 45 WHEN HE STARRED IN LIVE AND LET LIE WHISLTCONNERY IS JUST 32 IN DR.NO AND 41 IN DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER.HE WOULDN'T HAVE DONE IT BETTER IN THE OLD AGE AS ROGER MOORE DID.AS A CONCLUSION ROGER MOORE WITHOUT DOUBT IS THE BEST BOND FOREVERRRRRR.

OHMSS
This is the first Bond movie since Dr.No and From Russia with Love to REALLY stick to the book.Lazenby did a good job for the first-next- Bond. The mood was very Fleming and the cast was excellent with Diana Rigg and Telly Salvalas. I wish they all stuck to this book format. After this they became almost comedys. I f Connery was in this movie it would have been perfect.

Sean Connery Tux
I believe this picture of Connery shown in the 1960s section is from "Never Say Never Again", which was made in the 80s. Someone should update this and show Connery's tux from either the Colonel Smithers dinner scene in "Goldfinger" or the club/casino scene from "Dr.No".
