Who he is:

The corrupt Prime Minister of San Monique, a Carribean island. He doubles as a drug lord in Harlem and New Orleans under the name of Mr Big. He has connections with the occult voodoo community of San Monique, including an "alliance" with a mysterious man impersonating the cemetery loa Baron Samedi and the usage of a family of female tarot-readers who possess the gift as long as they hold their virginity. Solitaire holds the ability similar to her mother before her, whom Kananga had mentioned of using once before (he probably killed her once she lost her virginity).

Evil scheme:

Selling large amounts of free heroin on the US market increasing the number of addicts and destroying all competition.

Attempted methods of killing Bond:

• Shooting Bond's taxi driver and crashing his car
• Placing a poisonous snake in Bond's bathroom

• Being left on an island in a crocodile infested pond

Bond destroys his poppy fields in San Monique with the help of Quarrel Jr.

How he is dispatched:

• Bond throws him in the shark -infested pool and places Q's compressed air-pill in his mouth, making him expand and blow up like a balloon (see video).

Fun facts:

He is named after Ross Kananga, who was the owner of the crocodile farm which was used during shooting. Ross Kananga also performed the famous crocodile hopping stunt in the movie.
