• Julie Christie was initially offered the role of Domino in Thunderball but the role was eventually given to former Miss France, Claudine Auger who was thought to have the assets that fit the character.
• The role of Domino Derval was originally an Italian named Dominetta Palazzi. Claudine Auger impressed the producers so much that they had her character rewritten so that it will fit Claudine's personality. However, they found her English to be too thick on the French accent that her lines were dubbed by Nikki Van der Zyl who also dubbed Ursula Andress' voice in Dr. No.
