Connery's back, jowlier and with a greyer toupee. Camp abounds. Effete Blofeld. Gay hoodlums. Big diamond laser thingy in sky. Played for laffs (what else can you do with Jill St. John as the Bond-girl), but some good jokey dialog still manages to surface. A none-too-impressive battle on an offshore oil rig. Bond ends up on ocean liner with girl.

Sean Connery returns the series for his 6th and final go-around as agent 007, James Bond. Not including the rip-off unofficial remake of Thunderball, Never Say Never Again. The pre-title sequence is one best in the series that I've seen. From the opening shot of the gunbarrel to Sean proclaiming that his name IS James Bond to the two killings of Blofeld and the line of "Welcome to hell Blofeld" sets the stage for a great adventure that awaits us and a good tie-in to the previous adventure that of On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Charles Gray, not the best "Blofeld" in the world, but he was better than Telly! A standard start to the 70's Bond film villains. Mr. Kidd & Mr. Wint, two of the more better henchman in the series, yeah I said better! If only today's henchman could be as devious as they were and have the time to fight 007. Miss. Case, a superb casting choice with that of Jill St. John, bit of a spit fire and one who's not afraid to help out and save the day. The theme song is one of the best. All in all next to Dr. No, this was Connery's best. Connery's final hurrah as Bond was a good one at that.
