  • According to The Guardian, a member of Afghanistan's drug enforcement team has been brought aboard as a consultant to the production team leading many to believe that the next plot may involve drug smuggling in Afghanistan.
  • In a recent interview, Peter Morgan - one of Bond 23's writers - revealed a minor detail about the plot of the upcoming movie, describing it as "a shocking story."

Titles???
  • The last two 007 movies starring Daniel Craig have used Ian Fleming titles, Casino Royale and Quantum Of Solace. The remaining Fleming titles yet to be used for films are THE HILDEBRAND RARITY, RISICO, THE PROPERTY OF A LADY and 007 IN NEW YORK. One of these may be the title, or they may use an all original title, ala the Brosnan Bond films.


Director Information

Sam Mendez has been working on the film as a consultant, working with the writers in shaping the script. On April the 10th, 2010 it was reported by the Telegraph that Bond movie Producer Barbara Broccoli has confirmed that Mendez will direct the next installment.

  • Michael G. Wilson indicated Bond 23 will be a stand-alone film, and not follow on directly from Quantum of Solace. He also felt he might delay the film by another year, as the 22nd film left him exhausted.

  • MGM will distribute the film on their own, following Sony's involvement in the previous two pictures.

  • Daniel Craig and Barabra Broccoli were spotted in New York discussing BOND 23.

  • Writers are to start a script at the end of Jan. 2009.

Having just seen QOS, one thing that I hope they do (or more accurately, DON'T DO) in the next one:

Enough of the rogue agent thing. It's effective once in a while (OHMSS, LTK), but now they've done THREE in a row where Bond going rogue has been a major part of the story. Having *really* established a relationship between Bond and M now in QOS, it's time that Bond go on an assignment where MI6 (and the CIA) have his back. Bond having to dodge his own people as well as the villains? Let's give that device a rest for one or two films, shall we?

What ever happened to the suave james bond??? The one who is good with the ladies and very intelligent. Daniel Craig's bond is too much like Jason Bourne. Really violent and doesn't really think before shooting. Also Im really hoping for the relationship between bond and moneypenny/ bond and Q to be reestablished. I dont know what happened to the old james bond but i want him back
