Direct attempted methods of killing Bond:
  • Poisoning. (YOLT)
  • Sending countless numbers of people out to kill him. (All movies)

  • Fisticuffs, aboard a speeding bob-sled. (OHMSS)

How he is dispatched:

  • Possibly killed at the end of Diamonds Are Forever, when Bond crashes the crane that is launching Blofeld's escape submersible.
  • Also possibly killed by Bond at the beginning of For Your Eyes Only when a mysterious figure in a wheelchair stroking a white cat attempts to murder Bond personally. Blofeld could possibly have met his end when he was dropped into a smokestack there.

Evil scheme:
  • Generally, staggering ransoms, world domination and the death of James Bond.
  • Dr. No:
    • Uses Dr. No to shoot down American missiles as a threat for ransom.
  • Thunderball:
    • Employs Emilio Largo to hijack and crash-land a British Vulcan Bomber into the ocean in order to steal it's two nuclear warheads with the intent of extorting diamonds out of the U.S. and British governments.
  • You Only Live Twice:
    • Cause World War Three by interfering with the American-Russian Space Race through the hijacking of 2 of their experimental manned spacecraft.
  • On Her Majesty's Secret Service:
    • Uses an extortion plot to earn himself a complete pardon and the title of Count de Bleuchamp. If his terms are not met, he plans to release 10 women carrying a highly contagious infertility virus, "Virus Omega", into the world. Tries to kill Bond on his wedding day.


How plans were foiled:
  • Dr. No:
    • Bond sabotages the radiation device, destroying the Crab Key facility and killing Dr. No in the process.
  • From Russia With Love:
    • Bond acquires the LEKTOR, killing Grant, Klebb, and all agents trying to stop him.
  • Thunderball:
    • Bond discovers the atomic bombs, stops Largo and destroys the Disco Volante before it reaches it's target.
  • You Only Live Twice:
    • Bond alerts the Japanese Secret Service and (less directly) the CIA and KGB of Blofeld's plan.
  • On Her Majesty's Secret Service:
    • Bond blows up the Piz Gloria, Blofeld's headquarters and cover with the assistance of Draco's forces.
  • Diamonds Are Forever:
    • Bond signals Willard Whyte, Felix Leiter, and marines to attack the rig via helicopters, blowing it up, then uses Blofeld'd bathosub, with Blofeld in it to destroy the satellite command room, saving Washington D.C. from destruction.
  • For Your Eyes Only
    • Bond finds the wire allowing Blofeld to control the haywire helicopter Bond's in which mucks up Blofeld's controls. Bond then picks up Blofeld in his wheelchair with the helicopter and drops him down an industrial chimney stack.

    • Was originally going to be the villain of The Spy Who Loved Me until Kevin McClory struck and claimed ownership of SPECTRE. The character of Karl Stromberg stands in his place.
    • Anthony Dawson plays the unseen Blofeld stroking the cat in From Russia With Love and Thunderball. Dawson also played Professor Dent in Dr. No.

    FRWL and Thunderball's Blofeld was excellent; the buildup to his face was nervewracking
    YOLT had the best Blofeld (My only complaint was his voice)
    OHMSS was great but not as good as Plesance, I mean he doesn't notice Bond even though they've met
    DAF he just annoyed the f*** out of me, his death was a mystery, and dressed up like a woman
    FYEO if that was him he should have been the main villian, but he was pretty damn good
    NSNA waste of time. Max Von Sydow was great, but Bond and Blofeld don't even come face to face. Whats the point.

    in my opinion: FRWL, Thunderball and YOLT showed the classical Blofeld, first never actually seen, and not taking part in SPECTRE"S activities. and eventually being revealed at the end of YOLT, with the first impression of a mad scientist (his look, his voice the Nehru suit etc.)

    in OHMSS had a bit more charming personality, but he was a bit too physical. and by that i mean: he was engaged to much in activities, like working on the diseases, chasing bond in his escape from Piz Gloria, and not having a big private army (where the henchmen on strike or something?)

    in DAF Blofeld became too familiar, like bond and blofeld entering a pub, drinking together, sharing stories, and then blofeld telling his new epic plan for tomorrow which bond wil foil as predictable. no thanks! aswell as blofeld's missed opportunities, he had so many options to kill him on sight, yet he decided to let Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd take the difficult way to kill him.

    as for a possible return of blofeld in a future movie (his fall trough the chimney in FYEO, was just an minor setback.) i would like to see Christopher Walken playing him. he did very well on Max Zorin, and now even has the right age to play Blofeld. and blofeld trying to provoke a triple sided conflict between China the US and Russia (the good 'ol cold war). and hopefully in classical fashion surviving the encounter with bond.

    I love and adore DAF so its easy to understand why Charles Gray is my favorite. Donald Plesance did a great job as always but he looked like Bond could kill him with one punch, Telly Savalas was 'okay' and Charles Gray was hilarious and could actually be quite sinister at times
