I have to agree. People need to cut Laz some slack. Like others have said, there was a lot of pressure because he was the first replacement Bond and that was not easy. I think that OHMSS has more plot and depth than the other movies, especially Moore's. I would like to see Moore try to act like he loved Tracy. That would be interesting. I, personally, don't think he could have. Laz did splendid.

He was the first incarnation of James Bond. That must be recognized, whether you like it or not. It was adapted for American TV and the changes were made for American TV. I think its pretty significant that it was even done at the time.

IN LIKE FLINT compared to the Bond films.

OUR MAN Flint is very light hearted. That's what makes it so entertaining (that, AND the well done fight scenes). Which brings me to IN LIKE FLINT. For the most part, the fight scenes are actually BETTER than those in OUR MAN FLINT. However, it's not as good as the first film because it tends to lag just a bit. Be that as it may, it's still a very entertaining film. When compared to the James Bond films, how well do you think it stacks up? I'll tell you this much... Jerry Goldsmith's scores for both Flint movies are every bit as good as anything composed by John Barry and David Arnold, Including the music for OHMSS!

It's supposed to be a comedy/parody of the early Bond films, but if you ask me, Our Man Flint is actually BETTER than most of the Bond films, all the way up to the present day! At the very least, it's every bit as entertaining as any of the Bond films!
