The Original James Bond - Barry NelsonThe Original James Bond was portrayed by Barry Nelson in the 1954 television adaptation of Ian Fleming's novel, Casino Royale. He is credited with being the first actor to portray the secret agent on film. Nelson played Bond as "Jimmy" Bond (an American version of the secret agent), because the character was not well known. Nelson struggled with his own portrayal of the character, considering he had never heard of Bond and had never read Fleming's novels.

Nelson appeared on several television shows throughout the 1960s, including The Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, and, What's My Line?.

Nelson died on April 7th, 2007 while traveling in Pennsylvania at the age of 89.

Without question OHMSS is the best James Bond film ever made! And I don't care what anyone says, George Lazenby was damned good!

DerekFlint IN LIKE FLINT compared to the Bond films. 0 Mar 7 2009, 5:31 PM EST by DerekFlint

OUR MAN Flint is very light hearted. That's what makes it so entertaining (that, AND the well done fight scenes). Which brings me to IN LIKE FLINT. For the most part, the fight scenes are actually BETTER than those in OUR MAN FLINT. However, it's not as good as the first film because it tends to lag just a bit. Be that as it may, it's still a very entertaining film. When compared to the James Bond films, how well do you think it stacks up? I'll tell you this much... Jerry Goldsmith's scores for both Flint movies are every bit as good as anything composed by John Barry and David Arnold, Including the music for OHMSS!
