Dr. Evil has a No. 2 (Okay, jokes over!) who has one eye like Emilio Largo. No. 3 looks like a cross between Rosa Klebb and Irma Bunt. Dr. Evil has a cat called "Mister Bigglesworth" who, after a freezing process, loses his hair. Dr. Evil's primary henchman is a midget clone called Mini-Me (parodying Nick Nack from The Man with the Golden Gun) and Korean man-servant called "Random Task " who throws a shoe (an obvious allusion to Oddjob and his bowler's hat in Goldfinger.
In the film Goldmember, the title character is obssesed with gold and paints men's "Yoo-hoos" gold like Jill Masterson in Goldfinger. golden girl, Dr. Evil has a henchman in the first film who is Irish and tries to strangle Powers in a toilet with his lucky charms which he wears around his wrist, like Red Grant's garrot-watch. Dr. Evil also has another Bond reference, his name! DR EVIL, DR NO?
As a refrence to goldfinger, in The Spy Who Shagged Me, Austin looks into a persons eye and sees a reflection of man with a knife, he also comes out with a lot of random puns. Also Dr. Evil decides to "Do what we always do," when he realisees that his plans are out of date, "Hijack some nuclear weapons and hold the world for ransom, *Evil laugh*."
Parodying the many Bond villains, Dr. Evil inhabits a sequence of elaborate lairs. In Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery, Dr. Evil's first lair is underground in the Nevada desert, outside Las Vegas, an obvious homage to Diamonds Are Forever. Following a successful investment by No. 2, Dr. Evil's lair in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me is atop the Space Needle in Seattle, which is portrayed as the Starbucks headquarters. Later, it is housed in first a volcano on a Caribbean island (an homage to both You Only Live Twice and Live And Let Die), and then on the moon (the film's final villainous homage, to Moonraker). For the third film, Austin Powers In Goldmember, Dr. Evil has a new lair behind the famous Hollywood sign and in a submarine lair, shaped like himself (an homage to Karl Stromberg's Liparus tanker in The Spy Who Loved Me).
