AMC Hornet MuseumThe 1974 Hornet X Hatchback by the American Motor Company was part of a product placement deal tied to the '74 Bond film The Man With The Golden Gun. In the film, Bond along with Louisiana cop J.W. Pepper, steal this car in a Bangkok dealership to go after legendary assassin Francisco Scaramanga after he locks away agent Mary Goodnight in the trunk of his vehicle and prepares to head back to his home island. The Hornet's main claim to fame is making a 360-degree spiral jump over a broken bridge in pursuance of the villain. The Hornet's stunt was tied to various other stunts done by similar cars during this period at various stunt shows tied to AMC vehicles. The famed Hornet today can be found at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, Hampshire, UK.
