I voted for Sean Connery because he was the first James Bond of the series of Bond movies, he set the mold for the Bond caractor of that time, remember when he was Bond it was the 1960s, My second vote is for Pierce Brosnon, he enhansed the James Bond in the series by being more refined and of corse well dressed, even though one of the movies was a little far fetched, it is still fiction.

I have been a fan of Bond since I saw my first movie “Goldfinger”. I have collected all of the movies and have seen them at least 10 to 12 times.
The note is to state although I have always felt that Sean Connery was the best Bond. Once Danial Craig played Bond, I have change my opinion to Craig as the best bond ever. His ability to act in any situation without any personal feeling is very convincing as a Bond. I am sorry to see him go and only hope that the new Bond is as good or better. Julio Freeman

Who is the best James Bond? Dalton... Timothy Dalton. He made Bond believable. He had the balls to make his Bond
a little unlikeable. He plays a very human Bond. What sucks though is that he only played him twice. He played a serious Bond like Craig. No one bashed Craig for being a serious Bond but it's Bash Dalton Day every day, and the same reason- that he's a very serious Bond- is used. Give Tim more respect. |

I am!
The Daniel Craig Bond is so far removed from the suave, sophisticated, smart, cool, playboy who always says the "My name is Bond, James Bond" line and who ALWAYS gets the girl! The Craig/Bond character has all the charm and sophistication of a bulldozer, and all the sex appeal of a social disease! It is unimaginable that this new Bond would have a degree in Oriental Languages from Cambridge, would know the correct drinking temperature for Saki or would care what vintage of Champagne he was drinking. When the Craig/Bond didn't even bother with the girl in the red dress in Casino Royale, and decided he'd rather go and kill someone - he lost all credence as the Bond we know and love. Our Bond would have made time for the girl and a Vodka Martini, and only then, gone off to deal with the bad guys. Also, what has happened to the the cute one-liners, the thinly veiled sexual innuendo, the ingenious gadgetry, the tediously slow and easily escapable death devises and the chic, smooth stud-muffin over whom we women have been swooning for over 40 years? Gratuitous violence and spectacular CGI is not match for a really good story and a great script. Please bring back the old Bond - this new one is just another thug! P.S. And please, no more of those ball-bashing torture scenes - it's just very gross and off-putting - this is supposed to be fun - right!

Daniel Craig is the worst bond ever. At the Craig-Era everything is ruined.I think the brosnan-era was the best it was perfect.
I mean: what is this M dies , a younger Q. I think Craig said something like: Tradition? I don't give a ****.

If Timothy Dalton did only two films and he decided to quit after that at an early time, Brosnan would fill in for the role and do The Property of a Lady, which would release somewhere in 1991 (or possibly 1992 in order to coincide the 30th anniversary of the franchise). Maybe there will be no troubles with MGM.
I can't imagine him in TPOAL. |

I can't figure out why all you damn kids think that Daniel Craig is such a good Bond. Obviously it's not his fault that none of the classic moneypenny and Q scenes are in the more recent Casino Royale and Quantum, but he's not a particularily good actor, and does nothing the same as the Sean Connery, who was the original. The only thing you should really be debating is how close the other actors came to achieving a Connery-like performance.

Every 2 to 3 years, when EON productions leaks out classified information about the next Bond movie, fans around the world wait eagerly to watch their all time favorite spy to show up with his license to kill and thrill. For those who have been around since the beginning of the franchise growing up watching almost 50 years of non stop action, Sir Sean Connery.... Dalton is best bond for me portrayed the real ian flemings bond love craig aswel. Wish dalton had have done goldeneye you would have seen a much harder gritty bond than brosnan and his ******** hes the full of himself and far too over rated. Craig is getting credit for what dalton done years ago if it wasnt for him we would probably have adam sandler as bond now after roger moore who was very good but just not tough enough.

I really think Sean & Pierce are the best Bond actors around. Sean does an amazing job in Diamonds Are Forever, Dr. No, and From Russia With Love. Pierce was really good in Goldeneye and Die Another Day. I think these two Bonds deserve very high credit!

I've recently heard reports that "Aussie actor Sam Worthington may be the next James Bond."
Now maybe I'm being paranoid here but I think it's a little early to be hearing stories like this. Worthington could make a good Bond but seriously - I want to see Daniel Craig playing Bond for a few more outings yet. Just when I thought the series was dead nearly 4 years after DAD, Casino Royale came along and reinvigorated the whole thing, with Craig proving immediately that he is a great Bond for today's times. It was great to see the first Bond book finally adapted to the screen the way it should've been - with a tough as nails kick-ass Bond and a few key first rate action scenes. While I preferred CR, I thought QoS was an overall good continuation of the story of Bond's beginnings, despite somewhat lacking the great pacing and cohesion of CR. At the end of QoS, M fully trusts Bond as her new 00 agent. Now I'm sure Sam Worthington could be a good Bond as well but I really think they should keep Craig in the role for a few more films yet. Would be great to see his Bond meeting characters like Moneypenny and Major Boothroyd for the first time! He's a great new Bond and deserves more movies as 007!

You know that Roger Moore played Bond until he was almost 60 years old. He was 58 during AVTAK. Could you imagine what would be like if Sean Connery was still playing 007 from LALD-AVTAK? Sean Connery hanging on to the mooring rope in AVTAK? Ski chase in the Swiss Alps in TSWLM?
Moore was 3 years younger than Connery.

What good about this new bond is that he more realistic, but what bad about him is compared to all the other bonds, he's reckless and bloody. "He would chase all his enemys down and kill them without information". He had M yelling at him alot. "He was all muscle". "He would do thing the hard way instead of out thinking his opponent".
