Well Roger Moore is not the top James Bond, but he did make Bond fun. There were alot of good one liners in each of his movies. I laughed at all his jokes in the movies. He knew when to be very serious in the films too. Sometimes I think Bond now is way too serious all the time. Craig's writers should lighten up a little. I really miss the humor Roger Moore brought to Bond.

I've recently heard reports that "Aussie actor Sam Worthington may be the next James Bond."
Now maybe I'm being paranoid here but I think it's a little early to be hearing stories like this. Worthington could make a good Bond but seriously - I want to see Daniel Craig playing Bond for a few more outings yet. Just when I thought the series was dead nearly 4 years after DAD, Casino Royale came along and reinvigorated the whole thing, with Craig proving immediately that he is a great Bond for today's times. It was great to see the first Bond book finally adapted to the screen the way it should've been - with a tough as nails kick-ass Bond and a few key first rate action scenes. While I preferred CR, I thought QoS was an overall good continuation of the story of Bond's beginnings, despite somewhat lacking the great pacing and cohesion of CR. At the end of QoS, M fully trusts Bond as her new 00 agent. Now I'm sure Sam Worthington could be a good Bond as well but I really think they should keep Craig in the role for a few more films yet. Would be great to see his Bond meeting characters like Moneypenny and Major Boothroyd for the first time! He's a great new Bond and deserves more movies as 007! |

I can't figure out why all you damn kids think that Daniel Craig is such a good Bond. Obviously it's not his fault that none of the classic moneypenny and Q scenes are in the more recent Casino Royale and Quantum, but he's not a particularily good actor, and does nothing the same as the Sean Connery, who was the original. The only thing you should really be debating is how close the other actors came to achieving a Connery-like performance.

What good about this new bond is that he more realistic, but what bad about him is compared to all the other bonds, he's reckless and bloody. "He would chase all his enemys down and kill them without information". He had M yelling at him alot. "He was all muscle". "He would do thing the hard way instead of out thinking his opponent".

I am!
The Daniel Craig Bond is so far removed from the suave, sophisticated, smart, cool, playboy who always says the "My name is Bond, James Bond" line and who ALWAYS gets the girl! The Craig/Bond character has all the charm and sophistication of a bulldozer, and all the sex appeal of a social disease! It is unimaginable that this new Bond would have a degree in Oriental Languages from Cambridge, would know the correct drinking temperature for Saki or would care what vintage of Champagne he was drinking. When the Craig/Bond didn't even bother with the girl in the red dress in Casino Royale, and decided he'd rather go and kill someone - he lost all credence as the Bond we know and love. Our Bond would have made time for the girl and a Vodka Martini, and only then, gone off to deal with the bad guys. Also, what has happened to the the cute one-liners, the thinly veiled sexual innuendo, the ingenious gadgetry, the tediously slow and easily escapable death devises and the chic, smooth stud-muffin over whom we women have been swooning for over 40 years? Gratuitous violence and spectacular CGI is not match for a really good story and a great script. Please bring back the old Bond - this new one is just another thug! P.S. And please, no more of those ball-bashing torture scenes - it's just very gross and off-putting - this is supposed to be fun - right!

when will our next james bond movie with dan craig be released.? we can always have him pilot bill gates 177 foot yacht that was stationed in june o2009 in thailand but daniel looks politicking his own. while tarantino made kill bill 1 and kill bill 2 -bill gates went on philanthophizing. now then dan-current 007 could we keep the gay issue out of the movies' we need some good old fashion - fun oo7 movies.

Pierce Brosnan is without doubt the best 007 so far. Daniel Craig does not possese the characters of James Bond, his films are too fictitious infact he should not be allowed to play further Bond movies.

How can Craig be voted so high? Brosnan pulls off the suave secret agent character better than any of them.

Suggestion- go back to the Bond with the new gadgets and escapes, use the books written on Bond by the newer authors, some set great scenes, like the one set in Greece. Your current actor, although and accomplised english actor, does not get the job done. Don Draper makes a perfect fit.

I saw parts of Goldeneye on Sunday. What an awlful movie. I guess we cannot have a Bond movie without a space based laser. The scripts and plots for all of Bronsans movies were terrible.
The '00' v '00' concept was interesting, but they overdid it. Could have made an interesting "Flemingsque" movie out. perhaps and have brought back a new Maj Anya Amasova. However, they had to make a 'bond movie with a space based laser'. "Tomorrow never Die" - good cast horrible storliline. I am trying to forget "TWINE" and "DAD" were never made. Again, despite the Fleming Bond Novel being stripped mine, and good plot could have come out of these movies. But No, we had to have another Bond movie with a space based laser.

As the name suggests, I think Sean Connery was the best bond even though i grew up with Pierce Brosnan. Connery had alot of good lines and was in "From Russia With Love" and "Goldfinger" which are definitely classic Bond movies.

What was the deal breaker in not making Michael Billington James Bond in the mid 70s? He was screen tested over and over despite Roger Moore having the job. Did Michael Billington's role "UFO" and "Dream A40" keep him from being James Bond?

Sean Connery was the first and the best James Bond. He had the total package...everything! He set the bar for the rest of the James Bonds and the rest have not stepped up to the plate. He is still awesome and adorable! He could play Bond today and be licensed to kill...so, bring it on! THIS IS A FACT, NOT AN OPINION!!!!
