this movie was the worst Bond film of them all. heres why:
1. Jaws is no longer a villian and falls in love 2. Hugo Drax had no personality and was boring as hell, villians have to be interesting 3. James Bond in space 4. the stupid laser guns 5. the plot of destroying all earth's life and creating a super race in space, stupid 6. the title song sucked 7. Bond girl wasnt the usual Bond Girl so to speak 8. sci fi sucks
the only cool part was the opening part with the parachutes i think

In the Novel DAF, both are gay. They run around with black hoods over their face. They follow Bond and Miss Case on the QE2 for a final showdown.

1. Casino Royale - classic espionage Bond, more like FRWL/OHMSS. 2. Thunderball - always an epic picture, with a mix of espionage and full on adventure. 3. From Russia With Love - classic Connery. Love the Bond versus Red Grant bit. 4. Goldfinger - the epitome of a good Bond movie. The Aston Martin rules! Great fun. 5. The Living Daylights - great job by Dalton! Gritty and 1000 times better than AVTAK. 6. Goldeneye - perfect entry vehicle for Pierce and classic Bond updated for the 90's.
These 6 are ultimately the ones I felt I had to mention. Always my favs. If I had to say one more, it would be On Her Majestys Secret Service.

Live And Let Die in my point of view is by far the best in the series. This film had it all. The theme song is great! Paul McCarthey. Guy Hamilton directing! Jane Seymour as Solitaire! Tee-Hee! M & Miss. Moneypenny. The boat chase, the train fight, the alligator farm!!!! And of course ROGER MOORE! The era of Moore begins and it started will a massive bang.

Who has been the worst enemy Bond has ever faced and why? I personally go for Dominic Greene. He's just a badly failed rip-off from Max Zorin. He could have been better if he didn't fight against Bond, I guess.

Which Bond film do you think was better or more enjoyable? I watched these 2 Bond fims so far from my DVD collection.Personally, I found Goldeneye to be much more exciting with more action/machine gun battles/deaths yet Goldfinger is usually listed as one of the best, which I found as slow, boring, and the villain (Goldfinger) was too relaxed.
Why then is Goldeneye not ranked as one of the best films?

I love both films, but Goldfinger just wasnt as good, if they had kept it closer to the book (I know thats not always appropriate) it would have been excellent, they totally change Pussy Gallore's character, and from then it just wasnt as good, she should have been tougher, she was a gang leader not Goldfinger's personal assistant and pilot. The end was also too rushed, the tension of the book was lost, as too much was cut out.
Goldeneye, is a modern Bond at its best, had fast action and violence, but appropriate to Bond, eg rather than strangling the guy to death till you see the blood splurting out his mouth, a more original and impressive death. Also Bond kept his charm and humour. Also not to many sex scenes, I know I may be in a minority here, but if Iyouwant to see sex scenes get a porn film, they kept it appropriate showing the beginning and then the end as they did with all the Brosnan Bonds. Cool gadgets too, and an excellent storyline.

Goldfinger is oft hailed as the best Bond film of all time. From OddJob and Pussy Galore to the laser scene and countless quotes most agree it's a very balanced film from end-to-end. What do you think? Does Daniel Craig's Casino Royale take the mantle?

Goldfinger was the first Bond film I ever saw as a kid and Sean Connery set the tone, for me, for what Bond and Bond movies should be like. Therfore, Goldfinger and Thunderball are the best two Bond movies. All others are still measuring up. And, if you watch interviews with Craig and Brosnan they refer to Connery as the ideal Bond.
