My favorite Bond Novel is: The Spy Who Loved Me & Moonraker
Films in order (subject to change, naturally):
1. Thunderball: I love this movie for many different reasons. I remember watching it for the first time when I was a boy with my Dad, the shark scene was the best thing I've ever seen. This movie is as it is stated the "biggest Bond of them all!" From the opening scene with the jet pack to Bond flying off with the beautiful Domino, this movie has every single bit of the 007 formula right. 2. The World Is Not Enough: An awesome boat chase down Thames, an explosive ski chase, a sexy and seductive villain, and a finale battle on a submarine. Tons of martinis, loads of action, Bond in the casino, beautiful girls (so Denise Richards isn't the best actress, so what, she's still beautiful), and we get to see the bond car in action. Perfect! The scene near the end where Bond shots Electra is the coldest Bond shown yet in cinema, eat your heart out Danny boy! 3. Goldfinger: The movie that all other Bond movies aspire to be!!! Cars, women, a ruthless villain, the toughest henchman Bond will ever face, and of course Bond saving the day. awesome 4. Goldeneye: An explosive start for Pierce!!! The awesome tank chase, and the beautiful Famke Jannsen, make this one a winner. Did I mention Famke Jannsen. 5. From Russia with Love: "Tell me James... Am I as exciting as all those western girls?" the perfect spy movie. 6. Tomorrow Never Dies: Great action. One of my favorite pretitle sequences. 7. Die Another Day: This movie takes the 007 formula to the max, as Pierce is also at his best in his run as Bond. Even if you dont like this movie you have to like Pierce in this one. The Box office results show I wasn't the only one who was enjoying myself. 8. Dr. No: The one that started it all. Miss Taro is the most underrated Bond girl. 9. The Living Daylights: Good start for Tim. Loved the sniper scene after the credits, it plays like the short story. 10. You Only Live Twice: Loved the roof top fight scene with the camera pulling away, 007 hasn't kicked more ass since. 11. Live And Let Die: Good start for Sir Rog, he still looks youthfull enough. 12. For Your Eyes Only: Can't put my finger on it but this is one of my favorite Bonds from the Moore era. Perhaps its the formula thing again? 13. The Spy Who Loved Me: The ski jump, and Jaws, enough said 14. The Man With The Golden Gun: Underrated 15. Diamonds Are Forever: Sean returns to put Bond back on track 16. Licence To Kill (note the proper spelling): This is the best of the worst in my opinion. 17. Moonraker: Bond in space!!! Cool and not so cool at the same time. 18. On Her Majesty's Secret Service: Kept it pretty close to the book on this one, which isn't a bad thing. I couldn't put this higher 'cause I felt it was too slow at times. 19. Octopussy: Bond dressed as a clown is 100x's worse than Bond in space people!!! 20. A View To A Kill: MayDay eeekkkk!!!! Sir Rog and Louis Maxwell were way to old too. 21. Casino Royale: The start of the end for me. This movie had so much potential but there were way to many traditional Bond elements they messed with here, I don't even wanna get into that. IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!!!!!! 22. Quantum Of Solace: What The F*** Was That?!?!?!?!?... What ever it was, it wasn't Bond
If I were to include Never Say Never Again it would most likely be around #18.
Top 6 favorite Bond moments:
1. Bonds intro at the casino (DN) 2. Car chase (TND) 3. Tank chase (GE) 4. Car Chase (DAD) 5. Car Chase (TLDL) 6. The Scene in the casino where bond disarms a thug and then sips his martini. This scene to me just screams 007. Bond in a tux kickin arse, and drinkin martinis surrounded by women... CLASSIC (TWINE)
Fleming Books In Order of Favorites:
1. The Spy Who Loved Me 2. Moonraker 3. Goldfinger 4. Live and Let Die 5. From Russia With Love 6. Thunderball 7. Dr. No 8. Octopussy/The Living Daylights 9.Casino Royale 10. Diamonds Are Forever 11. For Your Eyes Only 12. The Man With The Golden Gun 13. On Her Majesty's Secret Service 14. You Only Live Twice
5 Favorite Bond Girls (in no perticular order):
1. Domino: One of the best looking of the Bond girls. What I really like about her, especially in the book, is that she is nothing more than a fling, there is no real love there, and she IS NOT Bonds equal. I Hate how the good Bond girls have to be his equal. 2. Xenia Onatopp: Deadly sexy literally. Man that`s one kinky chick. She could squeeze me to death any day. Man she`s sexy!!! 3. Miranda Frost: Like Domino Ms Frost is nothing more than another conquest for Bond, and one of the best looking conquests ever. And Ms Frost... well shes only interested in unloading Bonds weapon. She is the traditional Bond girl in every way. 4. Solitaire: So beautiful Bond stacks the deck in his favor just to get in bed with her 5. Tracy di Vicenzo/Bond: Step aside Vesper, this is the only dame Bond ever tied the knot with. Who wouldn't merry her.
